Questions:

Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?

A: After moving here from Columbia, South Carolina, then going through a divorce, I was unsure what I was going to do for work. Although I was healthy, I realized I was not living to the level of an athlete and my former healthy lifestyle. I’ve been trained by some of the best trainers at the World Cup, and I wanted to do something not only that I’d love to do, but was flexible so I can be at home with my boys. A friend that I worked out with told me you are really good at planning our workouts, so you should do this as a job. So, I created a post on Facebook that I wanted to start training women and my rate would be $30 per hour. That night I had 45 people message me! Now, 7 years later, I have 30 to 35 clients between my own business and at Body Fitz. My clients are mostly female, but I do have a couple of dudes that I train. As a concierge trainer, I train people at local parks, their home, or they come to me. I’m not trying to train people to be skinny, but to be strong and help them with a lifestyle change. I really love what I do.
