| Tell us a little bit about yourself. | I grew up on a farm in Chattanooga, Tennessee and moved to Atlanta when I was nine. I am the youngest of six children, and both of my parents worked for Dekalb County Schools. It was natural for me to work here as well. I attended college at Oglethorpe University. Then, I taught at Cary Reynolds Elementary School before coming to Ashford Park Elementary. I am married with two daughters and I also have two grandsons. |

| What inspired you or led you to your current career? | I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. My sister and I played school growing up, and I always took the role as the teacher. In fact, my sister is a teacher as well! |
| What is your favorite restaurant in Brookhaven, and what do you love there? | Souper Jenny. I just love their broccoli cheese soup. They also have great salads. |
| Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Brookhaven? | Kim Nebar Barker and too many kids and parents to name. |
| If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why? | I would travel Europe by train. I think it would be a beautiful way to see the countryside. |

| What is your favorite show to binge watch? | “Call the Midwife” and “Downton Abbey”. |
| What is something on your bucket list? | I would love to swim with the sharks or dolphin! |

| What is your favorite thing or something unique about Brookhaven? | Families really stick together and have each other’s back. I love how the families get together for happy hours, meals, or community events. |
