| What is your favorite music/band? | Weird Al is one my favorites because it’s just fun, stupid music. I also enjoy, and you will hear in my office, 80’s and 90’s rock and Dave Matthews. | ||
| How long have you worked in Brookhaven? | 7 years. | ||
| What inspired you or led you to your current career? | Many people might consider this a sad story. I did amazing in high school and graduated thinking I was possibly the smartest person in school. Then, I got to college and my first semester in English, I just wasn’t doing well at all. I was trying to do my best, but still wasn’t making good grades on my papers. I couldn’t figure out if the teacher just didn’t like me or didn’t like my writing style, and it was absolutely devastating. I went to undergrad with a plan to study medicine, but my adviser told me that I was not smart enough to get into the medical school. So, I choose dentistry. In some ways that series of unfortunate events was the biggest blessing to me and my career. The thing that I love about dentistry is that it is the perfect combination of people, science and art. Instead of giving up, I found what I actually wanted and needed as far as a profession. | ||
| What is your favorite restaurant in Brookhaven, and what do you love there? | Petite Violette. Their trout, Boeuf Bourguignon, and wine selection are top notch. | ||
| If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why? | New Zealand. I would love to spend time there hiking, fishing, and seeing the countryside with my family. | ||
| What is your favorite movie? | Marathon Man and Man on Fire. | ||
| What is something on your bucket list? | Paragliding down a mountain! I’m horribly sporadic and spontaneous. I like to do crazy things, but I don’t want everybody to know that it’s me. | ||
| What store do you most frequent in Brookhaven? | The Handy Ace Hardware. I like to fix things in my practice and around my home. I also really enjoy working on cars. They have things there that you just can’t find anywhere else. It’s a great cultural experience and the employees are always so helpful. |

| What is your favorite thing or something unique about Brookhaven? | I just enjoy the community aspect of Brookhaven. I get to see the same people over and over again, and there is a sense of community here that I think you won’t find anywhere else. | ||
| What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you? | Most of my college years I worked two different jobs at Dollywood during the summers. The first job was that I entertained people as a juggler and the other was leading kids to the place called Imagination Station. I also learned to play a Dulcimer and then started to sell them, which was a lot of fun. | ||
| What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word Home? | Shalom. For me, it’s a deep peace and what I long for and strive for inside our home. Our home is open and welcome to all kinds of people, and it gives us a chance to get to know everyone. We just love to be a part of our kids growing up and having fun, so lots of kids come over to play. |
